Anne Arundel County Revisited!

Hi everyone! This morning I went to Broadneck High School's track for yet another track race in Anne Arundel County, MD, the John Wall Memorial Track Run (which was one mile). It went very well and my pace was fairly even. Considering it was by far my fastest mile this year and only several seconds shy of my PR from several years back, I felt fairly in control and strong throughout the race. Here are my splits:

- 1/4 mile - 1:11ish
- 1/2 mile - 2:26
- 3/4 - 3:44ish
Finish mile - 4:53 - Definitely a lot stronger than the 1,500 meter I ran a coupla days ago at the Metro Harriers all-comers meet on Thursday, July 19 (which was 4:42)!

I'm definitely pleased with that mile time on not much speedwork and a lotta recent races this week (that was my sixth this week and this has been my fourth running event in about a week) YIKES! I've still been blessed with really strong, well-paced performances. It was great that I finished sixth overall and first in my age group (male 20-29) too :)
I don't know quite yet when my next running event/race will be, hopefully I can get something in next week, hopefully I'll find out my work schedule at Safeway soon. I'm gonna eat, ice, nap, and then head out to Rockville tonight (not for the Rockville Rotary Twilighter Runfest 8k) for my friend's birthday. That should be fun, I think we're gonna go out to eat some Indian food. TASTAAAAYYYYYYY!
