Hey there, earlier today I found out through http://www.runwashington.com (The Washington Running Report) that Alan Webb broke Steve Scott's 1982 record of 3:47.69 last night in Brasschaat, Belgium with a new American record of 3:46.91. Webb grew up around Reston, VA and has had a really successful competitive running career and I think he's only about 24, maybe 25 years old. Very inspiring stuff for someone my age. And I thought my 4:53 yesterday at the John Wall Memorial Track Run was really solid, but this is friggin' awesome to see a record about twenty-five years be broken!
