More official results of the San Diego race

Well the results were posted from the Scripps Ranch Old Pros Run yesterday, and I was not in them because my timing chip fell out of my shoes within the first mile of the 10K race (and it was my fault, I should have double-checked to make sure it was more securely fastened). Oh well, I looked at the times and since I knew that my clock time was around 39:08 and that my chip time would probably have been around 39:05/39:06 (according to my watch), I looked at the results and saw that the person who finished ahead of me hit about 39:00 and the one who finished behind me finished about 39:10. Had I been in the results, I would have placed in between them, taking 73rd overall in a very competitive and fast field! Looking at the results I could not believe how many of the runners were running under a six-minute-per-mile pace, and the young gentleman who won it was just under five-minutes-per-mile with his pace.

I really thought it was a cool race and I was glad to be a part of it :) Information on the race can be found at http://www.srop.org/ and the results can be viewed at http://www.runraceresults.com/, clicking on the "Scripps Ranch Old Pros Run". I hope to run this event again someday if I'm ever out around San Diego this time of year!
